    A STUDY OF LOCAL ARTISAN AND CRAFTSMAN MARKET OPERATION IN REZEKNE

    Local food, both from the perspective of the producer and the consumer, is becoming all the more popular topic in modern society. One of the places where the buyers and sellers of these products meet is the market. The research aim is to study the operation of local artisan and craftsman markets in Rezekne and the opportunities for improving their operation. The theoretical and practical aspects of artisan activity are described in the study; surveys have been conducted to find out the opinions of market visitors on the supply of the artisan market; data analysis and interpretation; and to make conclusions and suggestions for improving the operation of the local artisan and craftsman market in Rezekne. Research methods: logical construction, analysis, a survey, the graphical method.  The study results in a conclusion that the buyers of the local artisan and craftsman market in Rezekne are satisfied with the supply; however there are opportunities for its improvement. The main aspects with the opportunities for improvement are: spreading information about the market, i.e. its advertisement, expanding the assortment offered, extending the opening hours of the market, expanding the premises and the parking space of the market.

    The topicality of the research is determined by the importance of tourism for the development of national economy and individual regions; therefore, the tourism industry in Latvia needs to become attractive and have competitive strength on the common tourism market of Europe. Tourism statistics show ambiguous information on the numbers of foreign tourists entering Latvia in 2014 – 2016. In Rēzekne these numbers have a positive dynamic; therefore we need to continue strengthening the capacity of the tourism industry. A significant element forming the tourism product is the accommodation industry. The article covers an assessment of the opportunities for developing accommodation services in Rēzekne city, and based on the results of the study, recommendations have been developed for improvement of accommodation services in Rēzekne city. The specialization and offered anciallary services must be taken into consideration by planning their establishment. As a possibility the establishment of a SPA hotel  in the city Rezekne can be mentioned

    PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT AS A CONDITION OF INCREASING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF AGRO-PROCESSING ENTERPRISES

    The authors systematized approaches to the essence of the categories “product competitiveness”, “enterprise competitiveness”, “field competitiveness”, “regional competitiveness” and “country competitiveness”. The authors formulated the definition of competitiveness. The approaches to the classification of competitiveness factors are systematized. The authors’ classification of factors was developed. The authors have proved that the main factor in the competitiveness of enterprises is raw materials. Obtaining raw materials by the enterprise is carried out through procurement. Thus, the management of procurement of goods, having the largest share in the cost of the final product, is the main factor affecting the competitiveness of the enterprise. The authors have systematized approaches to characterizing the essence, goals and objectives of procurement management and to the classification of purchases. The authors’ definition of procurement management and the composition of its principles are proposed. The mechanisms of influence on the management of procurement and processing enterprises of the agro-industrial complex are investigated on the example of the open joint-stock company “Pukhovichi Plant of Grain Products” (Belarus). Possible ways to improve the procurement management of the studied organization are proposed. The recommendations proposed by the authors can be used by other organizations of the processing industry of the agro-industrial complex.

    The authors’ research is interconnected with the socio-economic policy of the Republic of Belarus. Structural components and metrics of economic efficiency in the scientific work are studied based on government demand, which is reflected in the National Strategies for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Belarus until 2020 and 2030. In addition, statistical data on the activities in economic sectors allows us to identify the most vulnerable areas of business, where telematics solutions can be used as drivers of growth and development. Considering that in the Republic of Belarus there are no fundamental studies on the application of business solutions based on the telematics tools for socio-economic development, the relevance, and reasonableness of the study is subsequently substantiated by economic results obtained from the analysis of the implementation of telematics solutions in foreign practice and in Belarusian business, that’s reflecting significant savings and cost reduction.

    THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CREATIVE ECONOMY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE FORMATION OF AN INNOVATIVE BUSINESS ECOSYSTEM

    The aim of the study is to analyze the theoretical basis of creative economy and its development trends in the context of innovative business ecosystems formation. The scientific novelty of the research consists in solving the most important scientific and applied problem - further development of theoretical provisions of creative economy, ecosystems, as well as substantiation of the conceptual approach to the formation of innovative business ecosystem as a coherent management model. In the process of research, general scientific and special methods were used: scientific abstraction, deduction, analysis and synthesis, system and critical analysis, structural-logical, ascending from the abstract to the concrete, and statistical analysis. It has been substantiated that the priority development of creative economy as a strategic driver of sustainable development is the formation of an ecosystem conducive to the development of complex non-linear dynamic innovation processes, development of value propositions and value chain. The analysis of theoretical and methodological aspects of formation and functioning of ecosystems indicates the lack of development of this problem and the need to develop scientific approaches to their identification. Generalization of the results of theoretical analysis allowed us to group ecosystems according to the identified attributes into five main types. It was substantiated that a sustainable business ecosystem is a favorable environment for innovation to increase its value and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals. It is proposed to consider a sustainable "business ecosystem" as a coherent management model with established characteristics, which describes an aggregate system of business ecosystem modules that interact with each other and are focused on co-creation and co-production of value.

    The aim of the research is to determine the preconditions for integration the Ukrainian digital market into the EU's Digital Single Market. The article is devoted to the definition of preconditions integration of Ukraine into a single digital market EU in accordance with the realities of the domestic market digital integration priorities. The article is identified trends in the development of Ukrainian market of digital technologies, comparison of individual indicators it development of appropriate indicators of the EU countries, revealed the degree of difference between these principles and trends, directions outlined measures to solve the problem "digitalization" Ukraine and creation of favorable conditions for cooperation with the European Union in the field of information and communications technology and future integration into the EU single digital market. It also identified high priority digital media channels and reasonable "gap" priorities of digital media distribution channels, due to the level of ICT use in countries. The paper analyzed Internet Stats and Facebook Usage in Europe and the necessity for priorities of the digital media space, depending on the selected region of the distribution at the stage of development of a marketing strategy. The research employed the following methods: monographic and descriptive, analysis and synthesis, comparative analysis, and statistical analysis.
